If somebody asks me ”What sort of life would you like to live?”, I would reply - the life of the character of Mr. Unni in the movie Elipathayam”.
The movie was released in 1981, directed by Mr. Adoor Gopala Krishnan - a genius, noted art movie director and script writer. The movie depicts the character of a lazy and inactive member of the feudal landlords. Despite declining financial position and social status, the character continues to cling to tradition and waste a life without doing any job.
Yes! I mean it! I want to live the life of Unni! But destiny has something else in its store for me. It seems god knows my ambition. That’s why he didn’t provide me with ancestral property or wealth handed down through generations.
I’ve to struggle to make ends meet... still there is many a slip between the cup and the lip... and that infuriates me... but it doesn’t make any difference.
